A short-term rehabilitation patient at Creekview Nursing & Rehab Center can expect to be with us for as little as a few days or up to several months, depending on the treatment needed.

Each day will be filled with therapy — common types are physical, occupational, speech, or a combination of treatment. Patients will also receive medical treatments and monitoring, but there is also time for rest and relaxation. Meals, activities, and socializing are just as important to the rehabilitation process as the physical work.

Morning

Residents will be visited by a nurse in the morning as they complete their rounds. They will assist with activities of daily living (dressing, grooming, medication management, bathing, etc.). After a delicious breakfast, residents will go to the fitness center for hands-on physical therapy exercises that were prescribed to them.

Afternoon

Residents get a chance to recuperate and socialize, if they wish, at lunch. Lunch can also be served in the resident’s room. Our dieticians work with you to prepare customized meals, if necessary. Other therapy sessions — like occupational and speech — may take place in the afternoon, or residents can take advantage of enjoyable activities or excursions provided by Creekview.

Evening

Evenings are generally low-key so you have time to rest and recover from a busy day. After dinner, residents enjoy a number of activities like card-playing, reading, and puzzles. Our activities staff can help customize a plan to help you feel like you’re at home. Being in peak mental shape will lead to better physical results, which will pave the way for you to return home!
